So much better than anything Hershey's or even Godiva is hand-crafted chocolate from local vendors who thankfully ship their delicacies around the country. Number one on my list is Candinas. It is a small company in Verona, Wisconsin whose owner, Mark Candinas, was trained in confectioneries in Switzerland. Because they believe that the preservative-free chocolates should be eaten fresh, you are limited to buying them at their own retail location or shipped Fed-Ex, so as to insure there is no shelf time!And if the chocolate itself is not enough (trust me, it is!) then you will also enjoy the very chic box which shows any gift recipient that this is not just any ordinary box of chocolates. Further, Candinas was put into a taste test against other fine chocolatiers by Consumer Reports where the fine chocolates finished at the top of the excellent-rated category and were found to be a "Best Buy." These chocolates are a perfect treat for yourself or friends and a great gift for those who have the most discerning palate.
